Plan for Improvement
Violation of Company Policies
Cell Phone
It is store policy for no personal cell phones to be brought into the facility during your shift. Leave your phone in your vehicle or at home, they are a distraction from your work as a paid employee of Phil’s One Stop, and can cause interference issues with our equipment and your safety.
Dress Code
Phil’s One Stop recognizes the importance of presenting a clean and professional image which starts with our employees. The dress code is stated in the handbook and also explained and signed by you stating you understand and agree to follow this policy.
Fail to Collect
Your Job as a Phil’s One Stop employee is to minimize theft from every customer that comes onto the store’s premises. All fail to collects can be prevented. When a person requests approval for fuel, make sure they know you are watching them. When anyone comes to your register, ask if they have fuel.
Call Off Policy
In instances when an employee is unable to work as scheduled, the employee must personally speak with their immediate manager at least three (3) hours prior to the beginning of their shift. It is not sufficient for an employee to text, email, or have someone call on their behalf.
Money Handling
It is the policy of Phil’s One Stop that you should never have more than $100 in your drawer at any given time. Employees should drop money in the safe constantly, not periodically.
Credit Card Policy
It is a policy of Phil’s One Stop that all employees check that the customer’s valid photo ID matches the name on the credit card for all non-fuel transactions over $50. If the valid photo ID does not match the credit card being used, we cannot accept the credit card.
Safety
Phil’s One Stop strives to maintain a safe work environment which complies with federal and state safety requirements. Phil’s One Stop does not allow any person that is not a clocked in employee inside the store before or after open/close times. The doors must be locked and no other person in the building with you. This is for the protection of the employees and Phil’s One Stop property.
Tardiness/Leaving Early
All employees of Phil’s One Stop are expected to arrive 10 minutes prior to their shift to allow the cashier they are relieving to leave on time. This is a company policy and must be followed. If you are running late due to an emergency you must call the manager ten (10) minutes prior to your shift.
Substandard Work
When an employee is asked to complete a task, or left a list of duties to complete, it is a requirement as a Phil’s One Stop employee that those tasks must be fully complete. When an employee is not doing a good job, it falls back to rest of the staff causing a difficult work environment. It is an important function of the job to maintain good work performance.
Absenteeism
All employees of Phil’s One Stop are expected to maintain regular attendance and to be punctual, regular attendance is an essential function of the job. Any employee absence causes problems for both management and fellow employees. Absences cause work or shifts to be covered by others.
Shortage
All employees of Phil’s One Stop are expected to maintain an accurate drawer. It is important to pay close attention and to double check yourself. It is often beneficial to count out the change to customers.
Rudeness to Customers/Coworkers
